Samsung Galaxy S II Vs. iPhone 4S

Heya techies,

So, after framing all this in my mind, I finally thought to write it all down on my blog. So, here it is : The Samsung Galaxy S II Vs. iPhone 4S. We'd be comparing on the basis of : Speed, Functionality, Build Quality, Value for money, Apps, Camera, and Display.

 VS.

So, lets first start with display.

1. Display: The Samsung Galaxy S II features a 4.3 inch, world's first Super AMOLED Plus Capacitive Touchscreen, capable of slightly more than 16m colors, while the iPhone 4S features the old iPhone 4's LED backlit screen. But the iPhone is the phone in the market with higher pixel density, but the smaller 3.7 inch touchscreen looses its point here.

2. Speed: The GS2 has a Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1GB of RAM while the iPhone 4S features a 1GHz dual-core processor, the RAM is undeclared. So, again, the iPhone 4S losses its another point here.

3. Functionality: GS2 has Android 2.3 with an update for 3.1 while the iPhone features the new iOS 5. Despite of the new OS and 200 more features, the iphone still has most of the android's features. Siri is the thing that helps iPhone get the point.

4. Build Quality: Of course, the iPhone's build quality is Ace, though Samsung has tried its best to push on the build quality by adding a grip on the backside of SII, this point goes to iPhone.

5. Camera: Both feature a 8 MP camera, roughly. GSII has 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash same as the iPhone 4S. But the iPhone only has Touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection while galaxy SII has Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization. Both record 1080p full HD video at 3ofps but iphone has video stabilization. This point goes to GSII as the camera features are more.

6. Apps: The Android store is still a way behind the App store, featuring only 150,000 apps, slightly more than half of App store, this point, obviously, goes to iPhone.

7. Value for Money: As we compare both of the phones' features, we gradually come to know that the GSII is the choice if you are a Value for Money techie.

So, we see that the GSII is the taste of thos who like fast and speedy performance and value for money, while the iPhone 4S is a disappointment for many Apple Fanboys, though it still has many apps and good build quality.
