What is NFC?

Heya techies,

You all may have heard about the new Nokia phones with JustTap and NFC enabled, but many of you don't know what is NFC.

So, for those who don't know, here I am! NFC stands for Near-Field-Communication. Phones which have this feature come pre-loaded with a NFC chip.

To use NFC, basically, you have to put the two devices in range, meaning almost touching each other and then you can easily sync contacts, apps etc. (Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich comes with it).

NFC technology is being used in paying cash from your mobile, like in a hotel, or taking e-pamphlets etc.

I really don't understand what is it's use between two "Phones" to share content keeping both of them touched when you have Bluetooth!

Well, I think Nokia should market and spread this NFC news of its phones first before the iPhone 5 comes out with it and Apple acts as though they were the first one to bring NFC to phones, as it always happens.

Wait for tech,

Live for Tech,

~Arjun~
